682 Million Naira Worth Phones For Nigerian Independence 2013 Celebration Confirmed

Amjad Ali, a Bristol-born owner of Gold and Co. based in Dubai, who plate gadgets with gold has again confirmed that order was actually placed for the said 53 gold plated iPhones, which are due to arrive in Nigeria before October first.

The gold iphones are said to worth £2.65m (about N682m). Each of the gold-plated iPhones costs up to £50,000, said The Independent, in its report on Wednesday. The minimum cost of basic models of iPhone in gold or rose gold is £3,000.

Amjad Ali, has told a United Kingdom newspaper, The Independent, that the Federal Government has ordered 53 gold-plated iPhone 5S mobile handsets. He said, “We will engrave them with the coat of arms, a shield and two horses." This was as instructed.

This is the story that was refuted by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Ali yet confirmed his order, and wouldn't give details, maybe for marketing purpose. Better still, it is possible, he just ruin the extravagant surprise the Federal Government of Nigeria was trying to pull. Anyway, God bless Nigeria.
