World Press Freedom Day

The theme for this year’s UNESCO World Press Freedom Day on May 3, “Safe to speak: Securing freedom of expression in all media” will make anyone who understands the abuse of press gateways terrified.

Now that anyone with a mobile phone can upload pictures or text, news or rumours, facts or fictions, shouldn't we reconsider what we call Press Freedom? Because in the content of what Press Freedom is today, it means anyone can upload anything about anyone or any organisation for their own selfish reason and by so doing distorting the truth, the press is struggling to defend.
