The Old and the New Market and How You can Be Part of the Shift

It is obvious right now that the traditional market is not as effective as it used to be. It will be stupid to hold on to a tradition that is changing fast. You can’t insist on trading in a market that no one want to buy in. That is really what most people in the third countries like Nigeria are doing. Even the farm markets in Kenya are changing fast and in places like Nigeria, they want to pretend that it wouldn't happen soon.

In 2006, consumers spent £30.2bn on online goods and services, according to IMRG, the industry body for global e-retailing. Over the past 10 years, the growth of the internet has resulted in the high-profile successes of many internet-related businesses. Even older generations all across the world are registering for social medias like facebook. Nigerian adults are not left out at all.

One great revolution going on in Nigeria right at the moment, is the development of modern shopping malls all cross the country. Shoprite are opening malls in several state capitals so is spar malls. This is a revolution we can't ignore, the time is now to catch in on the new wave. Soon no one will want to but in the old dirty markets and it would take a little more moment before they would prefer sitting back in their homes and making orders from the shops and have it delivered on their door step.

The big question is, are you going to fight change, or work and prepare to ride on change to your success? The internet gives you that opportunity. Before malls completely take over, position your business for the future with a simple website.

The internet has certainly revolutionized the way we live our lives, and offers a place where individuals can compete with global organisations. But just how easy is it to get started?

It is simple, with a website, you have a presence in the global market. You wouldn't just be servicing your local community but the global community. Don’t take this for granted, and don’t think it is coincidence that online shops are springing up everywhere in Nigeria; the likes of Konga, Jumia and a host of them. It is about the future.

Please, don’t pass on this opportunity like other great opportunities. If you do, trust me, you will regret throwing away opportunity that would have made you a millionaire for life. Take action, do anything to own your website. I learnt it is very cheap now, though e-commerce sites are still quite high. I don’t have tangible information about web development.

On a second thought, here is the contact of those who designed mine; Esteem 08184674107, they will tell you all you need to know. However, it went, make sure you have a presence on the internet market. It is the future.
