Nigeria's Eaglet Are Unstoppable

Nigeria's under-17s set up the showpiece game with Mexico in some style by defeating Sweden 3-0 in Dubai on Tuesday and Ezeh was among the goals - his first of the tournament and his first since 2012.

Ezeh has however set his eyes on getting among the goals again this Friday when Nigeria face Mexico in the showpiece match at the Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

“We beat a very good side today (Tuesday) and I’m so happy that I have finally scored a goal,” said Ezeh.

“I’m so relieved that I have finally had a goal and I believe there could still be many more for me in the final."

The 16-year-old striker also said his goal against Sweden is for his mother and fans in Nigeria as he focuses on the final game against Mexico's El Tri.

“I’m dedicating the goal against Sweden to my mum and my fans back home in Nigeria and I’m really looking forward to scoring against Mexico in the final,” he said.

Ezeh's previous goal for the Golden Eaglets before Tuesday came in the qualifying game for the African championship against Niger Republic in September 2012.
