Peter Rufai Commends Super Eagles

Rufai, former international Peter Rufai, a member of the 1994 Nations Cup-winning squad, while reacting to Nigeria’s 1-0 away victory over Kenya in Wednesday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier said that the team has reclaimed its lost pride on the continent.

“I sincerely believe that we have a team now which Stephen Keshi has built with the collaboration of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). “We have got a team that Nigerians can now say has what it takes to win anywhere.

“With the support of Nigerians, the Super Eagles are going to perform well at the FIFA Confederations Cup because they have proved it to everybody now with the recent performances. In fact, Nigerians can now say this team has really come of age.

“These Super Eagles have tasted victory before, they know that when you work hard, you can reap bountifully from your hard work and that is a driving force,” said Rufai who was in goal for Nigeria at usa ‘94 and France ‘98 World Cup finals.
