The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) said that it had approved TopTV’s application to broadcast the three adult content channels Playboy TV, Desire TV and Private Spice within the “watershed period” — from 8pm-5am.
“The authority upholds the view that there is no law of general application prohibiting the production and distribution of adult content in the republic. Only the production and distribution of child pornography is expressly prohibited by law,” Paseka Maleka, Icasa’s spokesman, said.
South Africa as always are showing bad examples for other African countries again. I think Nigerian DSTV subscribers should be very careful, since it is a South African Satellite TV. They are yet to see the worse, we are still growing. Just a thought.
