81 Ships Enroute for Lagos Ports


The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 81 ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos ports between April 10 and April 30. NPA said this in its daily publication, `Shipping Position’,  made available to newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday.

The document showed that the ships were laden with frozen fish, new and used vehicles, bulk wheat, corn, salt, general cargo, containers, crude palm oil and petroleum products.

It said: “Two ships- MV Safmarine Shaba and MV Cido Pacific-- are waiting to berth and discharge bulk malt and corn respectively.

The document also stated that six fuel-laden ships would berth at the various oil terminals in the ports.

 It said that the ships were laden with petrol and diesel.
